Fobbing church window restored

Fobbing church window restore

A grant of £15,000 from the Friends of Essex Churches Trust has funded the restoration of a chapel window at the east end of St Michael?s church, Fobbing [link to http://www.stmichaelsfobbing.org.uk/welcome.htm] near Stanford-le-Hope.

The rector, Father David Rollins said: ?We are privileged to worship in such a beautiful and historic building. We take our responsibility very seriously to maintain this important church.

?We are extremely grateful to the Friends of Essex Churches Trust for their support.?

This restoration was part of a larger project involving repairs to stonework around the south window. St Michael?s is a grade 1 listed building.
