News stories from the Friends of Essex Churches Trust

Have fun with the family, enjoy some sightseeing and stop churches crumbling!

Hundreds of people will be cycling and sightseeing next month to stop churches crumbling.

They will be out and about on a sponsored Ride and Stride between churches and chapels. With hundreds to choose from, there is no shortage of fantastic churches and chapels to visit and support

Fiona Nelmes who organises the Ride and Stride for the Friends of Essex Churches Trust has said:

"The Ride and Stride is a fabulous day for all the family to take a breath of fresh air and potter around our historic churches by bicycle or on foot or any way you like."

"At the same time as exploring our beautiful countryside, you can help to raise funds to support vital church repairs and restoration."

"The proceeds will be shared between your own parish church and the significant repair and restoration work which the Friends of Essex Churches Trust supports."
