News and Annual Report 2015

New improvement grants will boost investment in the future of our churches

In our latest newsletter James Bettley, the Chairman of the Friends of Essex Churches Trust, reports on the upgrading of our grants schemes to include improvements as well as repairs and gutter clearance. This investment in the future of our churches is one of the greatest changes to the operation of the Trust since it was set up more than 60 years ago.

The cover picture shows the former Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams (Lord Williams of Oystermouth) who will give the Gepp Lecture ‘How buildings tell a story’ on 13 May 2015 at Chelmsford Cathedral. This will be at 8.15 pm, following the Annual General Meeting at 7.15 pm with refreshments from 7.45 pm. Please email events@foect.org.uk if you are aiming to attend.
