Our Christmas Fair was a “resounding success.”

“I would like to thank Lord Petre, our Patron, for opening the fair, and all our supporters and stallholders for making it a resounding success with income up on previous years,” said Emma Brice, on behalf of the organising committee.

“Lord Petre took the opportunity to meet many of the stallholders, including some of the county’s enterprising artisan food producers who came to sell their wares.

“We are delighted to say that the money raised for the Trust will go towards repairing and improving Christian churches and chapels in Essex and East London, in order to preserve them for future generations for the benefit of our local communities.”

Lord Petre is pictured cutting the ribbon outside Hylands House, Chelmsford, to open the Fair on October 13.
